Body-Centered Psychotherapist/Shamanic Teacher
I meet you where you are.
I am passionate about bringing the body into each session. Together, we will work toward the integration of how you block or experience tension in your body and how that relates to the blocking or the experience of conflict in your life. We will explore boundaries and grounding. I work extensively with developmental and shock/trauma issues and will support you in expressing and/or learning to contain emotions.
(I will give you homework. Almost always.)
As a thinker and someone who works with ‘the hard stuff’, I believe we can all find a place of self-acceptance and self-love.
On that note, I have a playful spirit that shows up in sessions. It tends to keep things in the here and now. I grew up talking to trees, playing with horses, swimming with tadpoles, and adoring horned toads. As far back as I can remember I have believed nature is our wise and true teacher. I’ve been through my share of ‘the hard stuff’, which lends a depth and compassion to my work.
I weave my shamanic practice into everything I teach…even if it’s not ‘named’, it is there. And, I gently welcome you home…to the exquisite medicine within…that is your true healer.
