Frequently Asked Questions:

  • How exactly does this membership work?
We’re using the Ko-fi platform to host the monthly membership ~ it’s a fundraising support site for creators. Once you sign up, Ko-fi will automatically charge your card each month that you participate.

  • Am I able to cancel at any time?
Yes, there is no obligation or set commitment to stay with us. However, we hope you’ll try it out for a few months before deciding in order to get a good taste.

  • What if I don’t consider myself an artist?
You don’t have to identify as an artist in order to create. In fact, most people who work with us do not! We are ALL creative beings, and it’s our passion to support others in reclaiming that for themselves in a safe, supportive way.

  • What are the technical requirements for the monthly live calls?
For the Creative Soul Fridays we’ll be meeting via Zoom, so you’ll need a computer device (laptop, tablet, phone, etc) with a self-facing camera and microphone, and an internet connection. We’ll provide the Zoom link on the Ko-fi page once you join.

  • What kind of art materials should I bring for the live calls?
Art materials can be as simple or as complex as you wish. We recommend starting out with either large sheets of paper or a bound art journal, and basic mark-making tools such as markers, colored pencils, crayons or oil pastels, chalk pastels, charcoal, and or pens. If you wish to paint, we recommend using a set of tempera paints (or acrylic, watercolor, or guache if you prefer) along with a set of brushes of varying sizes, a paint palette, cup for water and a rag. You might also want to have a writing journal nearby.

  • How is this different from others online creative communities?
There are many types of online communities that support creative expression, all of which have something unique to offer. What’s different about Soul Nectar is that we’re not just here to show you new art techniques; we are here to support your own heart-centered connection to yourself and to others using art-making as a means of connecting. We cap our membership at 50 participants, giving you the opportunity to build connections without getting lost in a crowd. We’re here to to hold sacred space with you, without judgment or comparison, and help you recover and express your own creative power within the context of a safe, supportive community.

  • “Thank you for creating this sacred group, Jenny and Steph!  Jenny's welcome word of ‘homecoming’ rang true for me today. I felt held, supported, and safe to be and receive exactly what was needed. I'm dumbfounded that the astonishing light that filled the Mission studio halls when we painted was replicated on Zoom!  Well done, creators!”

  • “Time in the creative river together is deep and good medicine. Thank you for this gathering!”
